Trading Review: 07-28-2017
Gross PnL: +$165.
Net PnL: +$126. $22 in borrows.
Bit of a standard grinder type day. Nothing to really since teeth into and hold for decent move, but some reasonable trade setups.
KOOL had right bias and it did fade off, but am happy with covers as there wasn't much meat to the move, similar goes for DRYS.
One thing on KOOL was that it peaked exactly where I expected, so not happy to have not filled any near there; not the best patience in the world.

Gross PnL: +134.
Net PnL: +$94. $10 in borrows.
Real grinder day. But super happy with day as I definitely maximised it.
Good stop placement, and was quite patient for the second trade entry (not first entry though).
Cool thing about today is that it was perfectly scalable, it was very liquid!

Trading Review: 07-26-2017
Gross PnL: +$208.
Net PnL: +$195. $22 in borrows. Slight mixup here as it doesn't make sense, but whatever.
Can't complain with the day too much. Wasn't aggressive on TTPH because I considered it a secondary type trade; and although it worked out as I would have expected I am comfortable with this.
The opportunity showed up with CDNA today - so I was rewarded with my patience. Was slightly early going full size, which is something I need to avoid as it was uncomfortable.

Net PnL: +$20. $20 in borrows.
Forgot to take screenshot for today; but was pretty non eventful, and quite happy with patience to not force trades. Took one trade and left it at that.
Was a couple of other secondary type setups, which would have worked. But happy to have left it.

Trading Review: 07-24-2017
Gross PnL: +$16.
Net PnL: -$79. $23 in borrows.
Interesting observation from that day was that I went to borrow ELTK and they didn't have any. Tried again 10 minutes later and they did. So I need to regularly check for borrows when a play shows up. If I got them slightly earlier I would have had a much better trade, and thus made a decent amount on the trade.
Overall quite happy with the day, not forcing anything when the opportunity wasn't there.
One other comment is the stop I took on ELTK. I had already taken half off, so I definitely could have considered adding back there (with stop at high). No happy with my execution on the first short.

Trading Review: 07-21-2017
Gross PnL: -$553.
Net PnL: -$707. $88 in borrows.
Really annoyed about today. Has been a while since I started since I missed a stop and today I missed two.
DRYS I drew-down from +$200 to -200. Stop was roughly over $1.50 and ended up stopping in the 1.90s. This one was weird, because I thought I had the stop in place - then when it moved I realised I didn't.
TEAR was just too quick for me. However, that's an unacceptable excuse and I need to remember that I must have stops in place on the platform. Had I taken the stop on this I would have been able to re-attack it, and would most likely have made money on net.

Trading Review: 07-20-2017
Gross PnL: +$149.
Net PnL: +$54. $40 in borrows.
Completely forgot to do this review on the day.
A few comments I can make about this trading day:
(1) Stuck to my methodology on XCO vs going with instinct, which I am happy with because even though the idea worked out. No reason to go against methodology if it's not extremely good risk-reward.
(2) I was going for the bigger move on AEZS and it had a complete cunt-fuck move. I am comfortable with this decision, given the potential for it to be a big trade. However, I think if I had stuck to scalping it I would have done pretty well on it. Definitely a trade-off.

Trading Review: 07-19-2017
Gross PnL: +$42.
Net PnL: -$49. $29 in borrows.
A couple of comments about today:
- Really happy with how I waited for MYSZ to squeeze out before participating. Good patience.
- Am not happy with where I added to MYSZ.
- CBAY really good grinder style trades. Pretty reasonable profit considering size.
I have a lot of comments on AEZS:
- First loss was too big (approx -170).
- Second short was a cheeky one against the high, which should have had at least half covered into vwap. But was trying to ride it lower.
- Finally really happy with avoiding the big uptrend for most of the way.
- However, am quite unhappy with my reshort. The level was $2.50-$2.70. So I definitely needed to allow it more space. And then I definitely needed to cover the first pull, which would have set up for a nice reshort against the high.
- Really the only afternoon opportunity was once it had peaked and then shorting it as it rallied back.

Trading Review: 07-18-2017
Gross PnL: +$131.
Net PnL: +$71. $35 in borrows.
Really nice trading on MBRX. Can see that it didn't have much range, but did quite well on it because I kept recycling position.
Two mistakes today:
- Going full size straight away on KTOV. I mean it's obviously a piece of trash, but keeping some room to add higher would have been the correct play.
- CAPR original loss was too big. Original loss was roughly $200, and it should have been $100. From there it would have been quite easy to execute a good short once the stuff occurred.
I am quite happy with covering up CAPR though - was no reason to stick around on it.
Trading Review: 07-17-2017
Gross PnL: -$246.
Net PnL: -$294.
Really messed up this trade, because when I look at the chart in hindsight it looks like one that I would trade really well.
Now all that being said, I am really happy I took the stop without a second though. Essentially the mistake was that the first trade should have been a $100 loss, and then I revisit the idea.

Trading Review: 07-14-2017
Gross PnL: +$265.
Net PnL: +$165.
Really happy day. Nothing on, and then ANY showed up. I initially had the wrong read on ANY, I knew it was a reverse splitter; and in a longer term downtrend... But for whatever reason I misread the failed spikes on daily. Hindsight an obvious complete retrace.
But happy with my open mindedness to re-establish the position; although not happy with execution of re-establishment.

Trading Review: 07-13-2017
Gross PnL: +$245.
Net PnL: +$147. $48 in borrows.
Real grinder of a day. YUMA looked like it was setting up to be a big trade but never really played out and ended up stopping me out on first trade.
Really happy with exits on second trade of YUMA though, not an A+++ setup and so no reason to push it. Very similar to the OCUL covers I had yesterday, and same setup.
Had platform issues which messed up execution on YUMA as well.
XGTI a stock that had bugger all opportunity/range, so quite happy with how I performed on it. Small trades added up on it. Even narrowly missed a perfect add which would have been another $30-$40.
OCUL probably relatively missed opportunity, but adopted a risk control approach and it never gave a nice bounce to vwap for the continuation trade. So pretty happy.
Trading Review: 07-12-2017
Gross PnL: +$190.
Net PnL: +~$125. $32 in borrows. Fee in account so can't work out exact.
Really solid day. Another one where wasn't a huge amount on radar and then a nice setup (BDR) showed up; so patience paid off. Was actually quite lucky to get fills on it.
Side note: I actually need to look to get a scanner going for these plays, am finding far too many of these midday movers on twitter - which is fine for the occasional one; but not something that you want to rely on.
Narrowly missed a fill on my add to full size on OCUL for the second trade, so that was an unfortunate miss. In part that comes down to making sure I was waiting for the correct setup, so I'm happy.
Took a really good stop on OCUL, and was patient to re-establish the position. Really happy about that. Definitely some of the best trading I've done in a while.

Trading Review: 07-11-2017
Gross PnL: +$348.
Net PnL: +$263. $28 in borrows.
Another day that sort of makes the grinding days worthwhile. That being said there was some mistakes. Overall I would say I was just a little quick to get full size.
Something I am really happy with is that there wasn't a huge amount of setups, so it was a case of waiting for the appropriate setups to arise and then trading them.
FOLD was slightly out of my target niche, however the setup was clean; and the anticipated volatility was quite low (allowing me to size like I normally do). Something I did a great job of on FOLD was recycling position, which helped for when I was eventually stopped out.
FOLD unfortunately I didn't stop when the trend broke, that was the place to stop, and gave back about $100 here. But still happy with the trade.
TEUM was just slightly early on my full size entry. Was down about $200 at the peak on it - just needed to wait on the other half size for either confirmation of a better price. Would have been a perfect trade otherwise.
YUMA, wtf was that fuck spike... Again just a little early on full size. Have to remember that these stock I trade can be influenced by chat-rooms (which I believe was the case here). So saving a little bit would have been nice. Had the potential to be a monster trade.
If I was to trade it again, first entry would be 1/4, then 1/4, then 1/2. So I would have ended up just slightly higher entry.
Trading Review: 07-10-2017
Gross PnL: +$90.
Net PnL: ~+$30. Borrow fees are $28. Some fees in account so can't work out exactly.
Solid day, narrowly missed two pretty decent trades so just ended up being another grinder type day.
CDNA would have been a big trade if I had got a fill on last half of position (but I don't regret being cautious/picky with price).
And DGLY I had pegged as low hanging fruit, but sort of decided it wasn't worth holding, and it eventually had a nice washout as expected. Would have been a $100+ trade if I had held.
