Trading Review: 04-06-2018

Gross PnL: +$1240.

Net PnL: +$1187. $9 in borrows.

Real grinder type day, no big ideas but small scalps/trades added up. Never really did big size on LFIN but obviously on net a big winner.
One questionable moment on INCY where I added when I possibly should have been sizing down (but stop was still in place anyway). Realised my mistake, and took off most of it into the dip.

INCY - Good read to start with, and probably didn't fully recognise the pretty clean trend change (fighting it instead, although I was only in 1/4 for that bigger move).
Something pretty cool happened on INCY. I narrowly missed a fill by 1c, when it bounced 20c from my cover. Covered immediately. Now I would have actually been filled a few minutes later, but the overall cover was good.
Why this is important, I have noticed I've been getting pretty fucked when I narrowly miss a profit target (usually first target). It's almost like algos are trying to buy (on net) and don't want to fill my lone resting order to buy.
Definitely a habit I want to get into. It's more of a risk protection thing, rather than locking in profits. The tendency for it to go on and lead to a stop-out; or certainly a spot where I would add back is uncanny.

LFIN - Firstly, I held 100 shares (about 1/3) for a move to $30. For whatever reason I decided that it had got close enough to $30, and sold when I saw the sellers around $28.50. Halted literally 2 minutes later. So dodged a massive bullet there, as it probably is halted for a long time, and opens down at least 50%.
But overall sick scalping. Unfortunately I nailed the bottom, and wanted to hold from there - but was pretty heavy around that spot so closed it all off.

SPOT - Good stop. Still like the trade idea, so not sure how I feel losing on this style trade two days in a row.

TSLA - Really nice trade, and good recognition that I was only scalping against the dominant trend - which resulted in getting an amazing cover. Hindsight, I should have been trading the range pretty aggressively on this. Pretty obvious that it was going to have a range day.
